What is the exact pickup point for the shuttle?

The shuttle pickup point is located at Cayoosh parking lot, about 2km north of Joffre Lakes. You can park at that parking lot, take the shuttle to the Joffre trailhead, and then come back to the same parking lot and your car at the end of the day. Please note that spots on the shuttle are very limited.

What is the drop off point for the shuttle?

The shuttle will drop you off right at Joffre Lakes trailhead.

Is there cell phone reception at Joffre Lakes?

Unfortunately, as of 2019, there is no cellphone reception in the area.

What are shuttle departure times?

Departures from Cayoosh Lot to Joffre Lakes

11:00 AM, 11:20 AM, 11:40 PM, 12:00 PM

Departures from Joffre Lakes to Cayoosh Lot*

3:00 PM, 3:20 PM, 3:40 PM, 4:00 PM

*You must select your returning time when boarding at Cayoosh Lot. Later departures are expected to fill out first - which may not give you enough time to visit all of the lakes.

Would someone be available to answer questions and take payment for the shuttle on location?

Yes, there will be staff available on location at both Cayoosh Lot parking lot as well as at the Joffre Lakes trailhead to help direct passengers to and from the shuttle, answer questions and take payment.

Is the shuttle accessible? Can it accommodate pets/bikes/strollers/wheelchairs?

Unfortunately the shuttle is not accessible and cannot accommodate bikes, strollers or wheelchairs. Pets are not allowed on the shuttle because they are prohibited in Joffre Lakes Provincial Park.

What happens if I miss the return shuttle from Joffre Lakes to my car?

If you miss your return shuttle, you will have to make alternative arrangement for a taxi from Whistler (at a cost of at least $150.00). There is also no cellphone reception so you will have to rely on others to carry your message out.

Be sure to keep track of time - and plan on arriving back to the shuttle at Joffre Lakes at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time. The shuttle will not wait for late passengers.

Can I park at the Cayoosh Lot if we are not taking the shuttle?

No, the parking lot is reserved for shuttle bus passengers. Overnight parking at Cayoosh Lot is not permitted, and the gates of the parking lot will close at 4:25 PM.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards. We do not accept cash payments on board the bus.
